Illustrator Harmonica

The goal was simple; vectorize a musical instrument by tracing over a reference photo. Having never used Illustrator outside of making basic shapes and testing some of the tools, it was a challenge for me. I only had one musical instrument to get a photo of, a harmonica. I wanted to make it as detailed as I could, zooming in really close to make the lines accurate. I used the mesh gradient tool for a few parts, something I was also inexperienced with. Overall, I spent over 20 hours working on it. While not necessarily retro-themed, this piece is important. It displays my skill with vector drawing, as well as my attention to detail. The red background in the end was to make it mesh better with the overall style of my brand.
