I was able to create whatever I wanted, so I chose to create a gum package and comic book advertisement. The idea came to me during a high school project, and I had put the idea to rest in favour of another concept, until I revived it for this project. Rather than following a specific retro idea, such as arcades or neon lights, I chose to be inspired from packaging standards from the 80's. I wanted big colours and cartoonish graphics, something to get a child's attention, a polar opposite to modern minimalist graphics. I had also printed a physical package with actual gum inside for a mockup to pass around.
