Alexander Taylor

Hello!

I am Alex Taylor, a 2-time graduate from Conestoga College with a background in Graphic Design. I do photography as a hobby, and I love anything retro or vintage.

• I am a huge retro enthusiast. Many of my designs, especially personal projects, feature some sort of retro theme such as 80's Synthwave or Arcade Pixel Art.


• One of my hobbies is Photography. Animals, the sky, and especially the Moon are my favourite targets.


• My passion for Design goes back several years to when I was in high school. I designed logos and overlay graphics for my Twitch streams, sometimes remaking newer and better designs. I have continued to branch out and improve since then.

Education

• 2022-2023: Design Foundations
  • Experimented with a variety of traditional and digital art mediums.
  • Worked through the phases of the Creative Process, from brainstorming all the way to the final product.
  • Diversified a portfolio for future use.
  • Graduated with the Honour Roll.


• 2023-2025: Advertising & Marketing Communications
  • Further expanded creative thinking skills and design abilities.
  • Explored processes of marketing and researching.
  • Expanded abilities of self-marketing, such as portfolios and resumes.
  • Worked on a Capstone project in a group with a live client.
  • Entered a field placement to experience a real work environment.
  • Graduated with Distinction.

Many of my greatest design projects were done during my 3 years in college, with a few of them being personal projects. However, there is a wide variety of other design projects I have on display.

Featured above are some of the many photographs I have taken throughout my career. My favourite subjects are wildlife, the sky, and especially the Moon. Starting with just my phone, I moved forward, currently using a Canon EOS Rebel T7. I have a wide range of photos on display on this website, from both a phone and a professional camera.
